8th Street/Astor Place October FOOD CRAWL

Where else can you try all types of ethnic food, even on a lazy Sunday afternoon?

UPDATE PLAN: Walk around EAST 8th street all the way to Thompson Square Park, then round back up on 7th street to taste street vendors ($5), the best falafel* ($4), juice, fries, Japdogs, $2 meat on a stick, ice cream/yogurt to end. Bring $20 cash and let's eat, walk, and chat, at our own pace! Rain or cold. You'll be stuff like a turkey!

Yes, there will be waiting time to get food, because we are a group! Feel free to walk ahead with others/Organizers or lag behind sampling/eating your food. Late comers will have to text me - will give day of. We end by 3:30pm.

We had such a great time last 2x, once ending up at $1 oyster place to have some beer and edame, and the other, ending at the VEGAN ice cream place!

* Eat only HALF the FALAFEL or else you'll be too full to want to eat any thing else! Save half for your dinner at home.

It was a perfect day to have a food crawl in the East Village. We went into places I wouldn't ordinarily go into. And, to finally taste those octopus balls (takoyaki) I've been hearing so much about satisfied my curiousity. They were good, but not incredible, but now I know.
The day was a lot of fun.
    Thanks Lily :-)

Great Meetup great food, great company. I enjoyed to crispy duck bun. The poutine was not so great, which is odd because I've had it before and it was amazing. I'm going to stick with the pomme frites and sauces from now on. I might even go back to that place with the fried octopus. I love discovering new food places :-) I hope you all enjoyed your food too!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
