Authentic Korean cuisine at Arirang

Renowned for its chicken ginseng soup, Arirang has been featured in The New York Times. You can preview the menu at http://koreanrestaurantnyc.org/menu-2/.

Since a number of my Meetup dinners have had long wait lists lately, please consider allowing some new members to sign up if you have attended events repeatedly over the past several months/weeks. It's always nice to see returning members. but I'd like to give some newer members the chance to attend as well. Many thanks!

Great to meet you, Suzanne—Forgot to mention that I just read that Anthony Bourdain is planning to open his own food hall. When it's ready, I will be sure to plan a Meetup there!

    As I said I'm
A musician and a gig has come up. Sorry for the last minute change in RSVP. Hopefully someone else can jump in now.

Michelle--I'm guessing you are new to New York (and Meetup itself)? A group of 10 by New York standards is substantial, since most restaurants are rather small. Moreover, since the point of Meetup is to meet new people, it's hard to have a conversation with a larger group than that.

This Meetup group operates on a "first come, first served" basis—those who are "wait listed" can sign up if a confirmed guest cancels.

I personally like the smaller groups, more than 10 people can be overwhelming. And I would think that it's much more difficult to find restaurants that can accommodate larger groups, which allows us to try places that would turn away crowds with 15 or more people. By the way, Vanessa (and all other organizers) thank you for organizing these dinners!
