I started my career in fashion and was the public relations director for two hosiery companies, Hot Sox and Hue Legwear, for ten years. I then transitioned into public relations for TV commercial production companies, which means publicizing anything from commercials online and on-air, to the editing and post-production techniques, directors, production companies, documentarians and more. I work with anything having to do with design, from fashion to graphics and animation, as well as retailing, and have expanded into social media for retailers in fashion - and pets!
Gatherings of 100 allow more conversation and abilities to meet people, I think, than a gargantuan event with 2000. However, there are reasons for both and I will attend both a smaller function and a larger one. Venues such as an art gallery are perhaps my preferred selections, as opposed to a restaurant. If it's a bar, I would prefer it NOT BE an Irish pub! There are so many more interesting venues around town to set up a social event.
Hi! I am a public relations and social media manager for companies ranging from TV production and commercials, to fashion and retail. This sounds like a perfect group for me, and I look forward to meeting everyone!
