Connecting with others on your level and even higher--isn't that what it's all about? Would you like to expand your circle of friends by participating in meaningful, intellectually stimulating get-togethers in an atmosphere of friendly social interaction?
In our new series of monthly meet-ups, we will explore and experience many aspects of relationships that might ultimately fill in some gaps for you and make your life richer and more satisfying. At a time when the accelerating pace and complexities of our society make relationships more difficult than ever, we draw on master humanist thinkers like Erich Fromm, Abraham Maslow, Martin Buber, Karen Horney, Albert Ellis and others, whose ideas have helped so many grow, deepen their connections, and thrive.
Our program is the result of many years of highly successful development by the Humanist Society of Greater New York, dialogical workships in Europe, and professionally facilitated support groups.
There is always a new and exciting topic introduced by a skilled moderator, followed by a brief relaxing meditation and then the program of the evening. Afterwards we socialize, enjoy light refreshments and, occasionally, dance.
