I got tapped to help out at this Festival performance of Handel's Messiah -- the first of the NYC holiday season. I've rehearsed 16 hours over the last 2 days, and have a dress rehearsal and concert today 11/25/12. I will be in the soprano section.
If you have a chance to go, it should be a worthwhile performance. It features choral singers from all over the U.S. The version performed is the Eugene Goossens re-orchestration from 1959. The sponsoring organization is Distinguished Concerts International New York, conducted by Jonathan Griffith. We are performing in Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center at 2:00pm.
I believe tickets are still available, you can purchase them online. Prices range from $20 to $100.
If you click the "Find Tickets" button, it will take you to a Lincoln Center purchase page.
