Hi to All,
Sorry for the late notice. I've been so busy recently. My husband and I are members of the Canterbury Choral Society. We were supposed to sing in a concert in early November, but Hurricane Sandy put a crimp in the choirs plans.
The concert is now slated for this Monday, 1/14, and you can purchase tickets from the Carnegie Hal box office if you plan to attend.
The work being performed is Gustav Mahler 8th Symphony (The Symphony of a Thousand) and we should have at least 700 performers on stage including a choir from Mexico. Even though this is a symphony, it is also a completely choral work, involving a full orchestra, 2 adult choirs, and 2 choirs of young people. (This is the Mexican choir's second trip to NYC. They were here in November when Hurricane Sandy interrupted our concert plans).
Here's a link to the concert information on the Carnegie Hall website:
Thanks, Beth Palladino
