Re: [New-York-MongoDB-User-Group] job postings

Hi all -

I appreciated everyone's feedback on this issue. So far, traffic has
been low on this mailing list so I would prefer not to moderate it, as
I don't want to be the bottleneck for for any discussion about
MongoDB. Here is what I propose for now and I am happy to reconsider
this in a month or two based on traffic:

- Job posts are permitted on the mailing list provided that they are
MongoDB-related, include the name of the company, and include [Job] in
the subject line
- Companies that are hiring are encouraged to get in touch with me
about sponsoring, hosting, or presenting at a session as that is the
preferred method for recruiting through the group!
- I will update the meetup welcome group to reflect these guidelines
- I will immediately ban any recruiters not complying with these rules

I hope that this works, and let's plan to discuss at the Sept meetup.

Maybe the best way for a company who is looking to hire knowledgable MongoDB developers should take the time to go to events and promote in person, or better yet, sponsor an event and show us why you would be such a cool place to work for.
