Introduction

Hi, I am a voracious reader who is into all sorts of genres, philosophy being one of them. I studied engineering but ended up with an MFA in art. I'm interested in the metaphysical, psychology, and rationalization.

What Thoa is saying about this Meetup Group

It was a mixture of different groups, so I'm not sure. I did meet some nice people from other groups.

  • Hi Thoa! Thanks for your note before... I try to walk down at the beach a few times a week too, maybe I'll see you down there sometime! as for the islands, they're mostly protected bird sanctuaries or private, with the exception of Shea and part of Chimon Islands. To me, they are the best part of Norwalk and hardly anyone even knows that they're there!!! Best, John

  • Hi Thoa! Thanks for signing up for the kayaking on the 30th... It's going to be a very cool day!! Also, since you're in Norwalk, check out the sailing on Thursday nights at Sound Sailing Center right next to the Sunset Grill! See you on Saturday! Best, John

  • Thoa, you've moved from wait list to "going" on the Boscobel outing. Would you please re-confirm? Thanks!

  • Hi, Thoa - happy to meet you last night and loved your comments on the movie. I want to pick your brain about Asian horror - I have so far discovered Noboru Iguchi, Yoshihiro Nishimura and Takashi Miike. I like the tongue-in-cheek approach (Robogeisha is still my favorite). Any thoughts and suggestions welcome!

Oh, and I should mention Perfect Blue, by the late lamented Satoshi Kon. Anime, and not really horror, but a nice psych thriller with gore thrown in.
