After thumbing through the past couple years of NYP's events, I realized that very few have centered on some of the more negative, but just as important, aspects of the human psyche. I propose the dedication of a segment of NYP's meetups to the discussion of those traits and aspects that are deemed impolite, undesirable, uncouth, or are otherwise unwanted, in modern society.

I think a good appetizer for this course would be the much maligned but prominent concern of addiction.

I second Ed's suggestion for "The Philosophy of Addiction"
