What software (DAW) do you use?

Reason 7

Who are your influences (e.g. bands, producers, etc.)

I'm really into game audio, and love location sound. DICE and Naughty Dog are at the top of my list for game sound. Music wise, I love high-quality, clean music with subtle mixing/mastering techniques. I've always felt that less - when executed well - is more. Glitch Mob comes to mind for this. To completely contradict myself, I also love heavy metal, like Meshuggah.

Is there anything in particular you'd like to learn more about?

I am ready to drop some cash on an upgrade from my H4N and ntg2, but could use some advice. I also would love to hear some advice to get stuck out of the "infinite tinkering" phase where actually getting the work done is sidetracked by tinkering with knobs (which is totally fun/frustrating).

I love game audio and location sound. I'm a complete amateur, but feel I have a good ear and would love to expand my capabilities and learn/share.
