BUS 6-Hour Run & NYUR 3-Hour Award Race

The Broadway Ultra Society (BUS) will open its 37th season with the BUS 6-Hour Run on Sunday, March 30th, 2014 starting at 8:45AM at Alley Pond Park in Queens. The course will be a challenging 5K loop, which will include parts of the Vanderbilt "Motor Parkway" and footpaths through the Alley Picnic and Alley Springfield areas.

Starting at 11:45AM we will also have the New York Ultra Running (NYUR) 3-Hour Award Race on the same course. Both events will conclude at approximately 2:45PM and be followed by the 12th Annual Grand Prix Awards Luncheon, and presentation honoring the award winners from the 2013 Grand Prix series (2013 NYUR Grand Prix Winners).

Full information and registration forms for both events can be found at http://www.newyorkultrarunning.org/2014_BUS6_NYUR3.htm.  If you are not affiliated with any of the NYUR member clubs, just mention the word "MEETUP" on the registration to get the "insider" rate for either event. We hope to see you all there, and hope you will send in the registration forms asap so that we can finalize plans for the races and the luncheon.

I had a nice time. I like the 6, 12 and 24 hour races the best. Then no one has to wait for me to finish.

My only complaint is that the after party lasted a long time and I wanted to go home and put my feet up. :) The race was well-organized, check in was a breeze, course was marked well, good aid station, excellent volunteers who were in the wettest and windiest part of the park. Shirts are awesome and so are the trophies!

Sorry, the 3-hour event has reached its limit, so we CANNOT accept any more entries, but the 6-hour starting at 8:45am is still open. Even if you don't run for the whole 6 hours we'll score you in the official results.

It's probably too late to mail a registration form, but contact the race director ([masked]) NOW to lock in the "Pre-Entry" rate.
