We’re celebrating the start of Spring with the official launch party for Walks of New York, the newest brand from the creators of successful sightseeing tour operator Walks of Italy. Surrounded by a panoramic view of Times Square from a rooftop (also featured on one of their tours), you’ll mix and mingle with some of New York’s top travel industry movers and shakers. See below for the information on the pre-event preview tours!
Co-Founders Jason Spiehler and Stephen Oddo
Jason and Stephen will be there to answer questions about their New York and Italy businesses, discuss some exciting new developments with the brand, as well as talk about the core initiatives behind Walks as a whole.
There will be prizes including transferrable vouchers for their tours, goodies from New York and Italy, and, of course the usual 2 hour open bar of beer, wine and sodas.
ATTENTION BLOGGERS, MEDIA, TOUR RESELLERS AND DISTRIBUTORS:
Please join us for an exclusive abbreviated preview of the Walks of New York newest tour: Broadway Behind the Curtains. On this special tour of Broadway, you’ll see what’s behind the curtain in the world of Broadway Theater through stories of its most famous dramas. The group is led by a Broadway insider sharing first-hand experiences of life in the theater. And, of course, there will be plenty of lively tales of Broadway lore; its stars, superstitions, ghosts, greatest hits… and infamous flops.
Tours meet at 6pm in Times Square directly behind the statue of George M. Cohan at 46th and Broadway, one block south of the TKTS booth. The tour will end at the entrance of Novotel Times Square, at the start time of the Travel Massive. Space is limited. RSVP to [masked] and please include your cell phone number.
Due to the special nature of this event, we want to make sure we have a full roster for our local Walks of New York hosts so if you RSVP and cannot attend, please change your status so others can participate. Thank you.
More about Walks of New York
Walks of New York is the newest small group sightseeing tour and activities company in New York City. Launched in April 2014 with initial tours of the city from the High Line to the Lower East Side, the tours include themes ranging from architecture and design to history and photography. In addition to limiting groups to 12 people or fewer, Walks of New York features expert tour guides. Many hold advanced degrees in art, archaeology and history, while others have had professional careers as art restorers, actors, theatre managers, photographers, or are longtime residents of the city with a passion and background in a specific area.
Committed to providing tours with exclusive experiences and “skip the line” access, Walks of New York will feature tours that include a collaboration with B&H Photo, express entrance passes to the Empire State Building, and special access to the Eldridge Street Synagogue on the Lower East Side, a quintessential piece of New York history.
