Christmas Cookie Exchange & Hot Chocolate Social

Back by popular demand is our cookie exchange from last year. This was a big hit and many of you have requested that I do this again this year. I hope this date and time will work for those that are interested.

Each person is to bring six dozen cookies. Each person will take home a box of cookies with a large variety of cookies. Last year each person took home more than six varieties of cookies due to the number of people participating and also a jar of Mexican hot chocolate mix since that was what one clever person bought instead of cookies. It was a great touch to the box of goodies.

5 Ingredient Cookies by Fabio Viviani Makes two dozen "regular" size cookies.....I doubled it
1 cup chocolate hazelnut spread, like Nutella (13 ounce jar) or 2 cups of Nutella
    2 T brown sugar 4 T
    1 egg 2 eggs
    3/4 cup flour 1 ½ cups flour

coarse sea salt Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Combine Nutella, brown sugar and egg on low speed until blended. Slowly add the flour and mix just until dough is formed. Do NOT over mix.

Scoop cookies onto cookie sheet, lightly greased or with parchment paper. Bake for ONLY 10 minutes. Sprinkle as much salt as you would like atop each cookie (if they are still puffed up a bit when they come out of oven, just press them down a bit with your finger tips). Cool before removing from cookie sheet.
FYI, Costco has the best price on Nutella, a two pack of 26 ounce jars for around $10

Frosting is 3 T butter, 1/2 t vanilla, 1 C powdered sugar and rum to desired consistency (about 2 -3 teaspoons).

Thank you everyone for your participation in the cookie exchange. Sorry that Ginger and I could not spend more time with you but being the packaging elves that we were that tends to happen. I am glad that everyone had such a good time. Thank you Ginger for being the host this year, I personally appreciate that very much! I definitely did not have the time to get my place ready to host this year. :) Merry Christmas everyone.

The link to change RSVP appears to be missing. Apologies...I just noticed this was in MT and not a part of the NV meetups. I'm in Vegas and can't make it. Please take me off the RSVP so someone else can go. Thanks!

So sad I have to miss out on this one, but the holidays are just getting too busy - I hope you all have a wonderful time and one of you gets to enjoy my now open space. :)

Sorry you cannot make it. Thank you for updating your RSVP with enough notice for someone on the waiting list to still make plans to come if they would still like to. :-)

Yay, a spot opened up!! How many of you would be willing to make the drive up Evaro Hill to my place for the exchange?

    November 27, 2013

    • Ali

I am not going to ask 19 people to potentially worry about going someplace so one does not have to, sorry. I don't know anyone who cares to drive in bad weather, especially Evaro Hill in the dark. Even if some are willing I am not going to start excluding people because they are not. We will keep it in Missoula. Luckily last year you had decent weather that day and were able to make it. Hopefully this year will be the same for you. I would love to see you there again. Thank you for the suggestion, perhaps a summer activity up there would be great to get us out of town. :-)

No problem Ali....Especially since Meet up is based in Missoula, makes sense to keep this one there. Hopefully will be able to make it....I'll let you know as soon as I can, so someone else can have my spot....

Where will the meet up take place?

    November 8, 2013

    • Ali

Last year we had it at my place. I will likely have it there again. I am just not 100% sure about that yet so that is why I have not posted the location yet. I will once I have decided.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
