Seattle AntiFreeze at MOHAI: Seattle International Film Festival

Come to MOHAI on the second Thursday of the month, 6-7 pm, for a social gathering of people interested in exploring what, besides the Seattle Freeze, defines the character of this city. Each month features a short program exploring a different local topic, with guest presentations from some of Seattle's most fascinating individuals and organizations.

The topic for the May 8 Seattle AntiFreeze program is the Seattle International Film Festival. SIFF is one of the nation’s premier film festivals, and in 2014 it celebrates 40 years! Program directors from SIFF will share a bit about how the festival has grown and changed over the past 40 years and will provide tips for attending this year’s festival (which begins on May 15!).

Parking: There are a number of places to find parking around MOHAI and the South Lake Union neighborhood, but one good suggestion is the AGC Lot at 1200 Westlake Avenue N. Evening parking is $4, with a validation coupon you receive at MOHAI. Find additional parking information here: http://www.mohai.org/visit-us#parking

Note: This program is organized by the Museum of History & Industry and is open to the general public. We welcome all Meetup Anti-Freezers to join us!

Would love to go but I'm sick just in time for the MOHAI meetup (again!) Hopefully next time I'll be in good health.

Hi Hilary, I was hoping to attend, with a mask but got caught in the traffic snarl on Ballard Bridge. Pity, they are a good group.

Have to change mine to Cannot Attend. The URI is still with me. Wish I could be there, hoping there will be another event when am healthy.

I can finally make this event. Looking forward to meeting you all. Will there be a well-marked sign that I can follow to find you?

Hi John, come to the front entrance of MOHAI and there will be signs pointing you to the event room, or ask any of the friendly front desk staff where to go! - Julia (MOHAI)
