Introductory class in making blurb books by self publisher - Julie Dermansky. She will walk your through making a book with Blurbs templates. She will give you tips on editing your book and writing your intro for your book. Self-published books have many uses - final product you can sell directly, use as a promotional tool, or as a book dummy to send to potential publisher. Dermansky will give also share insights about the photo publishing world, and how to present your work to publishers.

Julie Dermansky is a photojournalist, and a multi media reporter. She is an Affiliate Scholar at The Center for the Study of Genocide, Conflict Resolution, a Thomas J. Watson Fellow and a recipient of an NEA grantand contributor to the Atlantic. Her work has been published in the Washington Post, New York Times, Guardian, Times of London and shown in galleries and museum internationally. Her work focuses on social protest and issues connected to climate change.
