    My lens was a 17-55. I left it at wide-zoom (17mm) and focused on the museum. Then I switched to manual focus and zoomed all the way up to 55mm before pressing the shutter button. The exposure was set to 5-seconds @ ISO 100 and f/9.0. I set it to manual focus so that when I pressed the shutter button to take the photo, it wouldn't try to re-focus. As soon as I pressed the button, I zoomed all the way back out to 17mm (where I focused). Hope this makes sense.
