I played the French horn for 15 years, didn't play anything for about the same length of time, took up the cello almost a year ago and take weekly private lessons.
My goal is to someday be able to play all the Bach cello suites. A favorite piece is Dvorak's Finale from the New World Symphony--I remember every note of the horn part!
I want to challenge myself on the cello, and would greatly enjoy being part of such a friendly and supportive group.
Hi, my name is Kim. I'm an expatriate Midwesterner now living in Ridgefield, CT. A former horn player now learning the cello, excited at the thought of playing with a group again!
Finding this group and becoming a member has been a godsend. Our conductor is amazing--I leave rehearsal exhilarated and inspired! You'll never meet a nicer group of people. My teacher says I have made quantum leaps in playing in the last few months. This music is the stuff that feeds your soul!
