Playing the cello for 2 years.
I am open to any and all music.
This is such a wonderful group of people and we play amazing music together. As a student of the cello I learn so much every single week.
Student of the cello and member of the New Westchester Symphony.
This is such a wonderful group of people who all gather together, from their various walks of life, for one evening every week to play some of the best music ever written. It is an opportunity to grow as a student and musician in an environment that is entirely supportive. Whether you are a beginner or a proficient player, stop-by for just one rehearsal, and I am quite sure you will be hooked--no auditions, no pressure, just pure enjoyment. Personally, this has dramatically increased my ability to sight-read and to appreciate the subtleties and richness of the classical pieces I have long listened to but never played (and never thought I would be able to play.) If you don't think you are a good enough player, come anyway, you will see that this group will immediately embrace you and you will fit in just fine--I had played my instrument for under 1 year when I joined and I plan to be a life-long member.
