On tap at 'dba Brooklyn' will be true Irish handcrafted beers in the form of O'Hara's Irish Red Ale and Stout ($6/pint, or $5/pint in happy hour - up to 9pm), from Carlow Craft Brewery, situated about 50 miles south-west of Dublin. In addition, a wide selection of other craft beers will be on tap and in bottle - plus three cask-conditioned ales on handpump.

As a bonus, craft beer advocate Alex Hall (http://www.gotham-imb...) will be bringing some very interesting bottles from his 'stash' to share exclusively with Beer Meetup members! He will be opening a new bottle of something hard-to-find or vintage aged (or, in some cases, both!) every so often through the day - a rare tasting opportunity indeed! If that's not enough enticement, 'dba' owner Ray Deter will generously be throwing in a magnum of Chimay Grande Reserve (aka Chimay Blue), circa 1992 vintage!

Please RSVP by the 16th to qualify for the free samples.
(samples strictly for Meetup members only)

GETTING THERE
Getting to 'dba Brooklyn' by public transport is very easy: take the L train to Bedford Avenue (the 1st stop in Brooklyn), use the Bedford Avenue exit (rear of the train from Manhattan, front of the train from further into Brooklyn), walk along North 7th Street just over one short block west, the bar is on the right just past Berry Street. Alternatively to the L train, take bus B61 and alight at the subway stop, then as above.

Note: With true Irish craft beer on tap here, there will be no Guinness, Smithwick's, or Harp (which are actually all owned by a British drinks corporation, with the latter being brewed in Canada) - who needs those anyway... Slainte!!!
