Subject: Special Events and Membership Manager Position - French Institute Alliance Francaise

Good afternoon!

I hope you can (and will) help me in my search for a marvelous Special Events and Membership Manager for the French Institute Alliance Fran?aise (FIAF).  The manager reports to the External Affairs (development) Office and is primarily responsible for organizing events for members and the general public.  These events generally focus on fine dining, travel, wine study, etc.  The art de vivre!  The ideal candidate has a strong interest in French culture (should have moderate fluency in French), is exceptionally well organized, detail oriented, and capable of working independently.  The manager should also enjoy working closely with various publics in person, by phone, and via written correspondence. S/he should also be comfortable speaking in public from time to time and be sociable.

Although the pay is relatively modest (but negotiable), there are some awesome benefits including a very generous paid time off package (31 days in first year!) as well as free French classes, complimentary admission to a large number of outstanding performing arts events and working with a great team.  And did I mention the wonderful boss?

Thanks so much for your help!

Warmest regards and I hope to see you soon.
