Special Event: Design Project Zero from the Stanford D. School

Come experience Design Project 0 from the Stanford D School, Tuesday, July 1st at NextSpace SC from 10:30 a.m. until noon.

If you've heard of the Stanford D.School and are curious about what they do, NextSpace's own Sean Ardley, a veteran of Stanford's undergraduate design program, is going to introduce their innovation methods to the Nextspace Community. He'll be leading the d.school's "Design Project Zero." It's a 90 minute fast paced trip through the D.School's full design cycle, with about 15 minutes of finding out about the methods and 75 minutes of putting them into practice. It will be extremely fast, and it will feel very rushed. After finding out what object or activity you will be redesigning, you'll
-pair up with a stranger to interview each other
-create a point of view about how to tackle the redesign
-ideate, and make a new solution that is useful or meaningful to your partner.

And if that's not enough,  we will provide cookies and of course coffee for a mid-morning snack. Please RSVP or contact [masked]

For those that wanted to contact me with questions about how to put this into practice in your work, or ideas for organizations that would like to do this workshop, or anything else, drop me a text or email.

Thanks so much for coming out! I was really impressed with the focus on keeping the design user-centered. I asked once about what a prototyper had learned about her partner, and the next six presenters focused on it. I also think some of the ideas had potential for further development. If you really liked your partner's idea or had an idea for a tangential product, Find them on here and message them to help them follow up! Nextspace is an ideal community for getting help with rapid prototyping.

Sean, do you need to be a designer to attend? I'm an investment advisor interested in data visualization.
