What does that really mean?  We provide a professional yet comfortable workspace for freelancers, entrepreneurs, developers, designers, consultants, coaches, lawyers - anyone who might otherwise be working from home or trying to work from a coffee shop.

The (R)evolution of Work

We are a coworking space, but we ain't your usual coworking space. We believe coworking isn't just about a bunch of people sitting under the same roof.  NextSpace was founded on the premise that we are smarter as a group and that by creating not just the space for people to work but also a sense of community an ecology of success develops.  As one of our members put it, "My startup is a year ahead on it's development because of the connections and resources available at NextSpace."  The Santa Cruz location was the very first and we have several other locations between San Francisco and LA.

Where Everybody Knows Your Name

That's the big picture.  For the day to day, it's just really nice to be able to go to a place where you can interact with other people instead of yet another day sitting alone in your spare bedroom. Between our community email lists, happy hours, chit chat friendly kitchen, community mindset and occasional outbursts of wackiness NextSpace is a bit like "Cheers".

Go For a Test Drive

If you'd like to give coworking at NextSpace a test drive we offer free coworking the First Friday of each month. Why not make a whole downtown day of it?  Coworking at NextSpace 9am-5pm and then head out for the downtown Santa Cruz First Friday Art Tour.  RSVP for free coworking Friday right here on our MeetUp calendar.  Don't want to wait that long?  Come by anytime between 9:00am and 5:00pm M-F and we'll be happy to show you around.

As part of our effort to provide value to our members and to the community at large we host a variety of business development, personal development and just plain fun events. Events are free to NextSpace members.  Not a member yet? $10 gets you access to most events and 1/2 a day of coworking (and all the Verve coffee you can drink).
