Please tell us how you found us.

Searching groups for SIngers

Please tell us very briefly your singing and performance training & experience.

My name is Kevin, soloed, performed in churches and community choruses. Have done some theater as well as weekly karaoke. I took voice lessons one year in my early upbringing.

Why do you want to improve your singing performance?

I see the effects of age on the voice firsthand, I would like to perfect what I already have, maybe even be able to get to another octave. As well as gain breathing techniques. It is a dream to be able to sing "Nessun Dorma" before I die. I have also entertained the idea of trying for national singing shows as well.

What is your most preferred way to learn new things like vocal production, breathing techniques, etc.

1:1 or group setting, little no lecture videos, I would think.

How much do you view yourself as open to receiving the coaching and advice of other group members?

I would leave my singing tenor ego at the door and relish the support.

From the age of 10 I have been in choruses, asked to do solos, and participated in community singing. I currently do Karaoke every other week if not more with some friends "in the States." Am a current member of the Friends of Harmony as well (bshop)

What Kevin is saying about this Meetup Group

Nowhere else can you bond as singers and friends. At least I have not yet come across it. It opens your eyes to the singing world you knew existed but didn't know were so good or sang before ten o'clock in the evening. BYOB and a snack pull up a chair or let us dine with you before a show. It is indescribable knowing your new found friends will help and want you to strive to the best of your ability. Seek and ye shall find. Sing and you shall be happy with Niagara Singing Performance Development.
