Napoleon á Golfe Juan - 23-24/03/2013

Hi everyone,
hope you're doing well :) I just discovered that the "Napoleon á Golfe Juan" will take place again this year (after one year of stop) the 23th-24th of March. If you don't know what this event is, it's a historical re-enactment of the Napoleon's landing on the beaches of Golfe Juan, the 1st of March 1815, after his exile on the Isola d'Elba (Italy). That day the so called "Hundred Days" has began, and Napoleon headed to Grenoble passing through a route that later has been called "Route Napoleon", which begins exactly in Golfe Juan.

Here the link: http://www.vallauris-golfe-juan.fr/Napoleon-s-landed.html?lang=en . I found the dates on the website of the Mairie de Golfe Juan, somewhere ..

I've seen this event (which is really in front of my house smile) two years ago and it's amazing ! There are hundreds of people dressed up with original soldier uniforms, everything is accurately reproduced as it was the 1815. They reproduce the war (with original guns, rifles and cannons) and there are also exhibitions and other activities related to that historical day. Obviously, there's also Napoleon coming with the boat and landing on the beach :D

It's really worth seeing.
Why not shooting there ? :D I would suggest a zoom lens because the beach is quite big and it is closed with barriers around (but just to not make the people enter on the beach, which is full of actors and equipment). You can see the event from outside the beach.

Have a good day !!
Bye

Why not create an event on Nice-Photo since you know what happens? I will happily approve it so it gets announced .... and of course I will support it. I like other people to come up with suggestions so feel free!!
