Welcome New Members!!!
It is always nice to meet new members, welcome. It's amazing how a little book, so difficult to find brought out so many emotional reactions in us all.

Also, remember to bring the names of 3 books for us to choose from for the next few months. Next month's book is "The Immortal life of Henrietta Lacks" (It's non-fiction) and fantastic!

Ellen:If you're not back at work yet, do you need a ride to the meeting next week...? Would gladly pick you up and drop you off...we missed you last time.
No I can drive but thanks for the offer
I have it on my Kindle, but just started it last week. It isn't a page turner, so maybe I will finish it by next week. Yes, everyone should still come even if you haven't read the book. It was really nice having our newest members joining us...
Have been canvassing libraries but finding this book extremely difficult to get....ebooks are available but right now the only "book" book I've found has to be ordered from a library out of state???? Might be a good idea to try to choose our books from those that are readily available or already out in paperback.....sorry, but after visiting 4 libraries NONE of which have the book and asking for it to be reserved IF they can locate it, am feeling rather frustrated!!!!!@Ellen: Hope you're doing well and out and about already.

It is out in paperback, as well as kindle version for even less.
I have asked my library to purchase it. Hopefully, they will.

None of the suburban libraries have it, nor does Chicago--hard copy or paperback if there is one. Maybe postponing this book until there's time to locate copies, might be an idea....Have most of you found the book (those of us without kindles particularly)?
Eilene, if you can't get it, come anyway. Not sure why the libraries don't have it but I can't find questions about the book either. We'll just talk about it or not. Come anyway! !!! Maybe we'll just chat! Next time we'll make sure the libraries have it. Thanks for the concern from everyone. I go back to work on the July 2.
I have heard from many of you that you cannot find the book. I put it on my Kindle, but most libraries do not have it. Please, even if you haven't read the book, please come anyway. If enough of us have read the book, we can still discuss it. If not, we can just chat and eat! I also cannot find any questions about this book to use at our discussion either! We will just wing it!! Welcome all new members!!
Will come next time .

I would love to meet other women in the Skokie area who are working professionals and love reading! Let's start a book discussion group with slightly older women, 50ish, who would love to laugh, talk, and enjoy great books!

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
