2nd Annual Celebrate the Summer Solstice

We had a great time last year and I'm looking forward to a great time this year. I have planned this so that no vehicles are required. We will be walking and using the Metro to get around. If you want to have a car to get around that is fine. Just remember Saturday nights can be very difficult to find parking as we found last year. The Metro runs until 3am Saturday morning and then starts again at 7am just after we finish.

We will start at the Sylva Stage, just south of the Washington Monument. For those that will be joining us for the first time and want a quick seminar on Night and Low Light Photography I will be at the stage at 6:30pm. I will be more than happy to help with any questions that you might have.

It was great even though I didn't stay the whole night. It was nice to meet everybody. The only negative aspect is that I just spent some money on a new lens and all you people with your fancy lenses are to blame! ;)

Bogna, The looks interesting. I hope they launch the wreaths a bit later than 6pm. It would be great to see this.

    Ok, I found it: http://www.paaa.us/events/index.htm
It should be interesting, people will be making flower arrangements with candles and let them float on the Reflecting Pool (or it should happen like that). Might make for some interesting photos.

There is a possibility that there will be a pagan polish event in DC that night, but I can't find any information about it for this year. If I find some info I will let you know.
I was also wondering if anyone could tell me were to look for a parking once I get there?
