Hello everyone, I'm sorry to say that it looks like the event is a no-go. I will not be available to try again on Saturday. I am disappointed that the weather never cleared up but this is one of the downsides to astrophotography. I will reschedule this for another time and preferably on a Saturday. Is the location OK or is there an interest in heading out to Joshua Tree for a longer event on a Saturday. Possibly leaving around noon and getting back to North county around 10:00 pm. Joshua tree has a million things to shoot and is a great place for landscape photography. Please let me know what you guys and girls think. Thanks, Ron

80% chance of rain. Is there 80% chance this will get postponed?

Anyone want to head out early to try and catch some sunset and pre-sunset photos of the scenery and hopefully find some of these celebratory wild flowers?

Wouldn't it be best to shoot in no moon? There will be a little bit of moon Friday night but on Sunday there will be no moon.

I'm in. My camera is in the shop so I'll probably be borrowing someones. I'm an advanced Nikon user and really know how to take night and long exposure pictures with Nikon so I'm happy to be the Nikon counter-organizer for this. I know how to do it in concept, but I just haven't shot stars yet but it's been on my list for sometime.
