Mary Avenue Bridge w/ Moon

Important Information This is a Thursday night event

EVENT HOST(S): John Cincotta and Joolz Haugen Please contact him if you have questions or ask below. You might first want to read the "Must Read This" page as it may answer most of your questions.

ABOUT THIS EVENT

on July 18th the moon gets near the bridge while the lights are still on.

I'll be there on the 18th will try and stick around from 9ish to the lights go out or till the moon passes the bridge. (It may be close.)

The moon will peak at 21 degrees above the horizon as it passes the zenith at 9:37. This will give a decent image similar height of the moon as the cloud around the moon shot.

Here are some pics to show tail light trails from the bridge and a problem that has to be delt with I used a couple of ball bungee cords and had the legs form an obtuse triangle to get the lens as close as possible

This is a similar photo with the problem accentuated with a red line on part of the vertical and horizontal wires

Here is a corrected photo by getting close enough so that you are shooting between the metal wires

There is parking along Mary on the north side as well as on the south side (I have not visited the s end at night) there is also parking(possible in the high school lot)

the nearest bathroom that I know of is the McDonalds on the corner of Mary and Pastoria.
