I have been involved in and in love with photography for about fifty years now. I have shot images running the Colorado river through the Grand Canyon, to sunrise at Grand Tetons in Jackson Hole, to underwater turtle and fish images in Hawaii.
Most of my night images have been done right after sunset or before sunrise. I am particularly interested in hearing experiences of those who have shot star trails with digital equipment.
I did a search of photography groups in my area and found you.

Looks to be an interesting group. I like the selection of activities, but the ratio of organizers to members makes it a bit tough to get in to an event. I joined in 2011 and only night shoots I have done have been on my own as I have never been able to get in on any of the events offered. This group should be split into groups of 200 people and organized that way if people are to have a chance to experience night photography.
