Yes, this is truly a brilliant letter. It should be in the Philadelphia Inquirer. Thank you, Timothy, for writing it.

And I signed the petition, adding, "The Founding Fathers were in the main deists and freethinkers. They felt no need to privilege the Bible over other texts. H.R. 535 soils the legacy of the framers of the Constitution (most especially the First Amendment)."
