I like the idea, but there's a lot of competition here. It's quite a bit of work and can be difficult to find a free weekend to hold a new race. The most popular races have something unique (e.g. a relay), a popular charity (e.g. THON), or are associated with another event (e.g. 4th Fest, Arts, Fest, etc.). If anyone wants to pursue this, here a link from the local running club on directing races: http://nvrun.com/index.php/racing/race-directors/race-director-primer
. Also, here's the local race calendar (select local from the drop down): http://nvrun.com/index.php/racing

Hi, All -- Here's an idea from our newest NFT Member. If you like
it, please respond enthusiastically to her. Sounds like she'll be
back in time for our Sept. 20 meeting at Panera's.

course in a evolution-humanist related costume or who make donations to a

Just a thought!
See you when I get back, the second half of September, and have a nice
