Join us every Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm for Improv in a warm, welcoming environment for adults to explore their creative side!
Providing a nurturing, welcoming environment for adults seeking a place to express their creativity and to grow personally and professionally.
Improv is a great way to explore your creativity and grow personally at the same time--all while laughing and having fun!!
The 1st & 3rd Tuesdays will be devoted to improv games. These sessions will be open to everyone. The 2nd & 4th Tuesdays will be devoted to more advanced improv work, such as long form games, scene work, montages, etc. Improv experience is helpful but not required.
There will be an improv jam on fifth Tuesdays.
We also have a monthly show or jam on a Friday or Saturday Night.
All sessions will be coached by Mike McGuire and guest coaches--who will give feedback and notes to every participant. Willingness to accept feedback is a requirement for participation in our group. Notes and feedback will ONLY be given by coaches.
Sessions are fun & fast-paced. We squeeze a lot of info and fun into these sessions. Distractions hurt everyone's experience. Participants are to refrain from sharing personal issues, scheduling conflicts, availability of sessions, unrelated conversations, etc, until after the session has ended. People who are unable, or unwilling, to follow the rules should not attend.
Participants are asked to arrive ten minutes early. We begin promptly at 7 pm every Tuesday at the Brentwood City Hall, 2348 S Brentwood, St. Louis, Mo., 63144 (The Brentwood Community Center is being renovated. We'll return there in the fall) The sessions are $8.
Our group is for working St. Louisians, ie. mostly middle aged folks... some single... some married... some with families...some without... but all of us believe that you're never too old to grow and have fun!
