The "No Hat" Society is a takeoff on "The Red Hat Society" but we don't wear hats! Of any color! Though we can if we want to; that is the whole idea - we can do and be whatever we want! We are a society, or community, of women willing to commit to each other for fun, friendship, support & laughing - always laughing!! Sense of humor is MANDATORY!!
We are fun & interesting ladies looking for friendship, companionship, someone to hang out with whenever we want to, fun things to do, and, well, that and much more. This is YOUR group, so speak your mind (respectfully, always!), tell us what you like & want to do.
The "No Hat" Society welcomes ladies from anywhere in the city; we recognize the difficulty many of us have with Houston traffic, so be aware that most of our lunches will be held centrally inside Loop 610 area. We will also plan them in Sugarland, and any other area that is well represented by membership. The plan is to have lunch, brunch, dessert, happy hour & any other event that strikes our fancy.
If you are interested in our wonderful group, and are willing to commit at least some of your time to us, please Join Us!
Here is what we are looking for in "No Hat"-ters:
1. Willingness to be an active part of the group, as defined by participating in discussions, emails, events, polls & other forms of meetup.com communication.
2. Willingness to share your ideas for fun things to do, good places to eat, important things to do (fundraising, volunteering, causes, etc.).
3. Willingness to visit the "NO HAT" Society meetup website at least twice a month to see what your friends are doing.
4. Willingness to attend 2 events every 6 months (we will consider you inactive otherwise).
5. Agreement that your "yes" RSVP means something to you and the friends in the group; we don't want to be stood up any more than you do, so honor your commitment, change it or be gone! Courtesy & mutual respect are shown by treating each other as you want to be treated.
6. Agreement that this group is not for selling anything; we will not be doing home-parties, etc.; no self-promotion or sales are allowed here. If you are approached by another member directly with interest in your product/service, you are of course free to pursue that; no direct soliciting of members for personal gain (no "fund-raisers" hidden in home-parties, been there, done that!).
7. Include a recognizable photo of yourself for use on the site. You can have different pictures of yourself on every meetup you are a member of; ask me how if you aren't sure where to set that.
8. Committed to having FUN with this group!
Its content is only available to members.
