Do you love to dance? This Meetup is just for you!!! Awesome dancers who reside throughout northern Colorado and southern Wyoming are gathered here to meet, mingle and share time on the floor! NO PARTNER IS REQUIRED FOR MOST EVENTS AND CLASSES, BUT R.S.V.Ps ARE DESIRED & EXPECTED!! We'll keep you abreast of regular dance opportunities and post monthly special events, too! Looking for Ballroom dance instruction? Check out weekly dance classes offered by Dave "DancerGuy" Arns in his studio (www.dancerguy.com), Fred and Carol Fuller's ballroom night at the Fort Collins Club the 4th Friday of each month, Deb's Second Saturday variety dances in Loveland or the Vintage Tea Dances at the Avalon during several months of the year.
Lookin' to improve your Blues music speak to your personal innergroove? Join us on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at Crazy Jacks on South College in FoCo for a great lesson at 6:30 and open dancing afterward to a great live music jam, check out Indigo Blues on Fridays at the Masonic Temple, or head on over to Old Town Yoga on Saturdays and split your time between blues and swing in one of two great rooms!
East Coast Swing/Jitterbug Dancers take note!! Saturdays at Old Town Yoga is a great weekly dance opportunity in FoCo, Check out the calendar often for the MANY special '40s Swing Events around northern Colorado including the 1940's Ball, and the Forever 40's Dance.
Ready to strut your stuff with West Coast Swing? This hot and sexy 'slotted' dance offers an infinite variety of moves and great opportunity for personal styling on the floor! Check out Carol & Fred's class & dance at the Fort Collins Club the first and third Friday of each month (You might even learn to Hustle!), or join Jim & Laura downstairs in the studio at Cafe Vino each Tuesday for a great progressive basic class and an Intermediate Level opportunity to add to your 'moves'! Check out Dave "Dancer Guy" Arn's classes to get the basics of salsa, bachata or rueda down pat before you brave the masses :)
Salsa not quite hot enough for you...? Try on a Tango! Tom and Amy teach a progressive Basic and Intermediate Class at Old Town Yoga each Wednesday night. Their unique teaching style will improve your connection to the music, your partner, the earth and your own body - Pay by the week or the month!
Were you Country before it was cool? Head on out to the Sundance Steak House and Saloon for their Friday evening partner dance lessons. A new dance style is taught progressively each month!
Is more 'traditional' or Celtic folk dancing more your style? Head on over to Club Tico (by the City Park Pool) and whirl the night away with the Friends of Traditional Dance to Contra Dance on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month to a variety of delightful bands!
Would you like to 'sample' a few dances before you commit? Check out the monthly "Variety Dances" hosted by Deb at the Odd Fellows Hall in Loveland, or her Weekly Saturday Morning "Sampler" classes held at the Loveland Athletic Club!
