    Laura (et. al.),
First time at Book Club and I have a two questions. I'm not going to finish the book before Friday, so should I just attend the dinner instead of both? Also, if I do attend the Book Club meeting, do people normally bring food/drinks?

Come to both book club and dinner even if you don't finish the book. If there was ever an occasion when everyone attending book club finished the book, it was before my time. Yes, normally people bring a snack to share (sweet, salty, or savory), though you certainly won't be cast into the outer darkness if you don't, and if you want something in particular to drink/share, bring it. I'm not the best person to answer because I normally only drink water, but usually someone brings a bottle or two of wine, and there might be a few other beverages floating around. We look forward to seeing you again!

Laura, is Aunt Jan not coming with you to dinner?

Well......... I GUESS I can let her come, since you WANT here there. HaHaHa. Actually, I checked with her first to see what she could/would eat before deciding which restaurant to chose. Thanks for pointing that out - I'll change for RSVP.

I can't see on here where it shows what book we are reading..?

Oh, and I should also add that the location for book club is different than for the dinner preceding it, and you will find that information on the book club page too. Usually book club is at a member's home, and the dinner beforehand is at a nearby restaurant. Sometimes it's not quite the same group of people attending, either; you have to RSVP to each event separately.

Ahh, ok that makes a little more sense! I'll look for it!

Hey Amy (& Scott) - so glad you're going to join us for dinner. We will enjoy seeing you again. So sorry you can't join us for book club as well - we'll have to have Susan host more often so you can come.
