PDX Dine'n'Dash Half Marathon

The PDX Dine'n'Dash is a half marathon inspired by the recent article published in Outside Magazine. Two "runners" did a 4K (4,000 calorie) run. They pieced together a 20 mile loop of the best places to eat in NY. Their article is here: We will meet at Voodoo Too have a doughnut, then off to Rogue for a beer, Cool Moon Ice Cream for an icy treat, to Lucky Lab for a beer, up to Pittock Mansion via Forest Park, on to the Japanese Gardens, over to the Rose Gardens, to Moonstruck for a chocolate, over to Powell's Books, grab a coffee at Stumptown, on to Pioneer Courthouse Square, cut over to Mills End Park, across the bridge to Green Dragon for a beer, and finish at Fire On The Mountain for hot wings and a beer.

I am looking forward to this event. I sent out the invite a few different ways and it sounds like we will see 12 runners. there are at least a couple runners who have decided to split the course in half. so that is an option for those of you who are looking for a few less miles. Hope to see you there!

Don't think of this as a competition. The intent is for the group to stay together and enjoy a sampling of the Best Of Portland.

I continue to fail at competitive drinking and running events. There's no way I could pull this off. Love the spirit though!

I applaud this type of endeavor! Aside from the nauseating distance alone, the sugar and alcohol content of this menu pairing would not agree with me. Bon appetit and post photos!
