We are going to meet at Mark's house again. It is near the West Falls Church Metro station. Details and direction later, to those who are coming.
We'll have a topic to focus on, something of current interest about China. Suggestions are welcome!

Quick poll in advance of today's meetup: Do any of you read only traditional Chinese characters?

I will be sending out directions again tonight so that those with a recent RSVP "will attend" can get them, and to remind the early birds.

They were sent today. Please check your email. (and maybe your spam box!)

PS: they were sent to those that gave a "yes" RSVP. Your current status is "not attending". Also, users should remember to check the email inbox with the address they used when signing up for meetup.

Hi Mark, thanks for answering my questions. I am looking forward to meeting you all too. The reason why I was asking about the time was that my son goes to Chinese school every Sunday afternoon. However, it might not be a big problem for me because the school year is going to end soon. If Sundays work for most of the people, let's stick with it. I don't want you guys to change only for me. As for next weekend's meeting, I will do my best to come and join the fun. Please let me know the address. Thank you!

Brian, Thank you for the offer. I assume your house is in Woodbridge. At our next meetup I will take a poll to get a better sense of where our members come from and how they commute. My home is walking distance from a Metrorail station, which probably helps although I think most people drive.

Hi Jack, thanks for organizing the meetup and the welcoming message. Yes, I am a native Chinese speaker, and I'd love to meet you all and be helpful. I will try to make it to this meeting. I am just curious, how long these meetings last usually? And are they always on Sundays?

Hi Weirong. This is Mark. I look forward to meeting you. Our meetings usually last for about two hours, and it is not necessary to be there exactly on time. (although the meetings are so fun you probably won't want to miss a single minute --haha!) Sundays seem to work well for us, but if you have ideas for different times or would like to help host or organize a meeting at a different time or place you are welcome to do so.
