Is the NoVA Golfers Meetup for Me? If you love the game of golf and having FUN, you will fit right in-both beginners and intermediate golfers enjoy the adventure of the vast array of courses we play! Our events are relaxed and stress-free, and our members are friendly and supportive.
This is the perfect way to play more golf and meet new golfers. It’s hard to coordinate with your friends to schedule tee times…everyone is so busy these days. As you know it's almost impossible to get a tee time for just 1 person and even if you could, who really wants to play golf alone? Who will see your hole-in-one?
What type of Meetups does NoVA host? We have Weekend Traveling Clubs, playing courses on Saturday and Sunday throughout Northern Virginia, MD, and DC areas. We start each season with a lesson series in March or April, depending on the weather-check out our current and past events on our web page!! Golfing events typically start in May.
NoVA also schedules Holiday events throughout the golf season, including our season finale - the annual Halloween Bash complete with costumes!
What is the format of play? Beginner golfers typically enjoy playing in a Scramble format, (hitting from the best ball of their team), this allows them to keep the same pace of play as intermediate golfers. Most of our intermediate golfers enjoy stroke play (each player hits his or her own ball). No pressure…only FUN!
