I've updated this Meetup. For more details, see the full listing:
Topic will be "Node.js explained", a reprise of Jeff Kunkle's presentation at RubyNation. Other topics are welcomed, too. Just email the organizers and we can get you on the agenda. Jeff's topic should be about 40 minutes long, so there is room for another, or some other short topics.
Rising from non-existence three short years ago, Node.js is already attracting the accolades and disdain enjoyed and endured by the Ruby and Rails community just a short time ago. It overtook Rails as the most popular Github repository last November and was selected by InfoWorld for the Technology of the Year Award in 2012. But is there substance behind the hype? This presentation will explain the basic theory and programming model central to Node's approach and help you understand the resulting benefits and challenges it presents.
When: Tuesday, April 10, 2012 6:30 PM
Where: Near Infinity Corporation
1881 Campus Commons Drive Suite 205
