This week's meetups are covering a whole range of topics to help you be more productive, or to finally get that website you wanted setup.

Today, April 17:

  • If you have a need to use the OSX Lion Mac Operating System for development, just play around or other purposes, learn how to install on your PC.  Want to develop iOS native apps or with PhoneGap, you need a Mac.  Learn how to leverage this alternative until you can purchase the real thing.
  • Ever wanted to Jailbreak your iPhone or iPad.  learn how and see some of the many benefits that you get with additional software and added features including installing Siri on the all iPads and older iPhone devices.
  • If you want your developed mobile app to rank high and be discovered in the various app stores for Apple, Android and others, that takes a lot of marketing, work and a little luck.  Learn the latest SEO tips of how to market your apps and other digital media to get better discovery and larger marketshare.
  • Ever wanted to run Windows 7 on your iPad or Android Tablet?  Now you can without having to tether to an actual PC.  Browse the internet at full speed, faster than[masked]N or 4G with full FLASH support.  The solution even gives you MS Office 2010 and DropBox support.  So now you have a netbook with 10 hours of power, which also happens to be a tablet.

WordPress
  • Who needs Ruby on Rails for smaller web app projects when there is WordPress.  Zane Matthew, a WordPress engineer for a local theme developer agency has built a web app using WordPress.  Join Zane to learn how he used WordPress as a web app framework.  Zane will also be covering custom post types, basic plugin and theme development.  So if you are a developer or power user, this may be a great way to learn about an alternative method to quickly use WordPress for your existing or future web projects.
