This hands-on Developer Day will ramp you up from hello world to building sample apps on Cloud Foundry's free hosted and open source Private PaaS options. Cloud Foundry (from VMware) provides an environment that comes preinstalled with services such as Tomcat, Nodejs, RabbitMQ, and four databases (MongoDB, MySQL, Postgres, and Redis), allowing web app developers to get developing right away with only a minutes of set up. It supports Ruby on Rails, Java, Spring, and many other languages and platforms (including Python, PHP, and .Net through partners).

Meet our experts, Josh Long and Dave McCrory, who will guide you through our Cloud Foundry vision, getting started, Cloud Foundry internals and architecture, setting up your own private PaaS using Cloud Foundry Bosh, and additional hackathon.

This is a follow-up from our successful date on the Cloud Foundry Open Tour in DC. For newcomers, we will walk you through the basics and ramp you up for the rest of the day. For previous attendees, you can review the bootcamp or join us after the bootcamp for a great day of hand-on work.
