As soon as night, and especially late night comes, I become fully awake and active. These are my peak hours of creativity and mental performance.
I toss and turn restlessly if I try to sleep at night. Even sleep aids and forced day scheduling works only temporarily, as my body takes the first opportunity to return to its original pattern.
I am less alert and energetic during the day and have always struggled to fit into typical day schedules.
I feel I have to give excuses for not meeting others and making appointments early in the day because when most people are waking up, it's time for me to go to bed.
In a big city like this, there HAS to be more things to do after hours.

Despite scientific evidence, society as a whole fails to recognize that there are individuals who are naturally nocturnal and see it as either insomnia or some kind of disorder that requires treatment. Our natural biological clock can be reset, but not changed- it would be like trying to force a bat to permanently mimic the typical human sleep cycle. A far healthier and less stressful solution is to stop thinking that something is wrong and to simply EMBRACE THE NIGHT!

While the group is called Naturally Nocturnal, it is also about breaking ourselves free from any beliefs, whether imposed by society's conventions or our own minds, that limit us.
