Being a MIT "Scheme-er", I love JavaScript, my favorite & currently-biggest programming language! -as http://1.JotHere.... . I also founded & oversee a number of OC Community groups including tech http://1.JotHere.... .

How experienced are you with NodeJS?

Now that NodeJS is fully cross-platform in at least desktop , as of 2013.06 I've started coding NodeJS, currently just a 1 file app (to do advanced regular-expression repair of particular HTML corrupted by bad WYSIWYG editors such as WordPress'es); I've used a little node-inspector. And so far have been delighted. I very likely will make it my primary coding environment if and where GAS isn't up to the task.

What programming languages do you like?

Recently GAS , especially as with new additions as it seems it now can be thought of nearing GAE but in JavaScript (so more fun, including matching the web browsers), plus easier to interact with and control all the Google Products, plus easier to get started, plus free. I also like a ton of other programming languages, including I both my MIT bachelors & masters thesis-es were on high-level functional/logic languages, plus I love languages as Mathematica (Wolfram wanted to hire me) and I mostly oversee OC-Python , but for daily practical programming, I do JavaScript.

What projects are you working on?

In addition to the small mentioned above (my 1st for NodeJS), I've written & continue to develop extensive extensions for Google Spreadsheets in GAS, and I'm now starting on ones which have their own HTML UI with a backend sophisticated DB. Apps I've built or building range from a "simple" unique ID generator for tracking most any info or item (which I use hundreds of times a day), to repeating event series history management &event generation (much better than Meetup or anything else out there), to social voting databases, to admin databases, to even (up and coming) dating sites. But I'm starting with the simple then gradually building up, including routinely building upon what I've built before, plus following Agile & Eat-your-own-dog-food and Unit-Test principles.

Hey Michael! Thanks for the random hour long chat at Barnes & Noble. Yes, too bad I missed the presentation, but I'm sure I'll make it out to a future meetup at PeopleSpace. Also, thanks for including the link of your pubs. I think you covered a majority of what you wrote while we had our chat yesterday. By the way, why would you recommend against a "badass" persona? You don't think I could pull it off? Haha.

How's Kubuntu treating you? I went with plain Ubuntu and started playing with software defined radio. Where are you these days?

Hi DestinyArchitect! yes, we welcome allies of any sexual orientation. There are gay and straight members, for instance, who have learned a lot about bisexuality from their participation in the group and come to our events because they enjoy the activities and enjoy our company :) so no worries! and welcome!

I don't know what what sort of "consent" you think I need, or what "warning" I need to give in order to start my own meetup group. Furthermore, I haven't the slightest idea why I would need to "explain [myself]" to you.

Like I said over a week ago, if you have something more you would like to discuss then you can email me.
