Stand Alone (Node.js) JavaScript Build Tools & Workflow

  • January 24, 2013 · 6:30 PM

Join us for an evening of Node.js Build Tools and Process workflow , sponsored @ && by Flite.

6:30 - Foods and Networkings

7:00 - Ryan Stevens from Bandpage.com (prequel/warmup to the 2013 SXSW Panel: http://panelpicker.sxsw.com/vote/4377 )

Use node to chain together stand alone build tools to achieve realtime feedback.  PhantomJS has allowed developers to create a wealth of headless unit testing options and modules.  Node can bridge that ability to run tests truly continuously where every file save can launch countless tests. Don't wait for a CI build to tell you your code is broke.

7:45 - @substack - browserify/testling/modularity!  And ...

8:30 - Panel or late adds (TBD)

Contact me if you have anything to add in the world of build or workflow.

Very interesting but also enough technical. The capabilities of Node.js are innovative.

Final block of space open. Please double check whether you can make it tonight and do that non-SF courtesy thing and release your seat if you cannot make it. Thanks, and see y'all there.

I co-organize DetNode, the Detroit Node.js Meetup (http://detnode.org). I'm in town for work. Excited to meet some fellow Node.js folks in the Bay Area!

Typically no audio/video. If someone from the community is planning to stream the event let me know. I will ask speakers to publish any slides.

since there's no waitlist can we assume that everyone will be let in?

    January 22, 2013

Assume nothing. The hosts have a max capacity and need to attempt to plan. Generally speaking, last minute cancels will open up space. Please honor the RSVP system. More space will open today and tomorrow.

As always folks, no wait list. There is ALWAYS space, so don't worry, but I ding those who RSVP and consistently don't show up. Please sign up and then remember you signed up so that if come the evening of, you can change your status if need be to open space for those who can make it.
