Node.js @ StubHub

Come learn how StubHub uses Node.js and how to get started learning Node with Akshay Vyas! This event is targeted towards engineers with intermediate+ experience.

Node.js Club Asks: How is StubHub using Node.js?

"Node.js is the primary engine behind our development tools for UI engineering.  The javascript suite of tools, including PhantomJS, and GruntJS, both rely on node.js running on the server.  We use Node.js with Grunt for tasks such as compiling, packaging and versioning our single page JavaScript applications.  We also use Node.js and PhantomJS (along with other JS libs) to form the foundation of our JavaScript unit test framework.  As UI engineers move towards test driven development, node.js will continue to be the driving engine.  Finally, we use node.js to perform server side rendering for Search Engine Optimization.  Search Rankings are critical to StubHub.  Our modern JavaScript apps must be able to describe our pages for optimal Search Engine placement and node.js provides us the capabilities for that.  We are also evaluating node.js for other uses within StubHub, including our Social and Labs initiatives."

I agree with Randall, very little examples that related directly to Node.js. In other news the big ass Peanut Butter cookies were delicious.
