Tell us a bit about yourself

My name is Julia, and I'm a trainee solicitor. I moved to London from Australia in August. I enjoy reading, and would love to expand my knowledge of current social and political issues, and discuss them with others.

What book are you currently reading and what do you think so far? (go on, we won't judge!)

I am currently reading "The Little Coffee Shop of Kabul". It's a light, interesting read, that touches upon issues facing women in Afghanistan. I am finding it a little bit simplistic, in the way it deals with certain issues, but an enjoyable read overall.

What interests you in this club?

I very much enjoy reading, and would like to broaden my knowledge about social and political issues facing the world today. This club seemed like the perfect way to do so (and to meet new people as well). I like that it's limited to non-fiction books, as I think it will allow for very interesting discussion and debate.

Which upcoming session are you interested in joining?
