Teaism is a Asian-inspired restaurant chain with four locations in the DC metro area. And they specify which items on their menu are free of GMO ingredients! I've read good reviews on TripAdvisor, Yelp, and in the Washington Post.
Do you love delicious food? Do you love dining out? Do you care about our environment and the effects that our food choices have on our health? If you can answer yes to all three of these questions, this group is for you!!! Like most people, I believe that genetically modified foods should be labeled. As it stands now, they aren't. This is a huge problem, since we don't know the long-term health effects of consuming foods that are modified to produce pesticides within their cells. It's also a huge problem because I love going out to eat, but most restaurants (except for the very few that serve 100% organic food) serve food that has been genetically modified! My intention is to form a group of people who are interesting in dining out at and supporting restaurants that either specifically support organic agriculture or offer GMO-free options on their menus. (I am hoping that we can even persuade some local restaurant owners to remove GM foods from their menus by explaining to them that we will give them our patronage if they do.) Join today, and combine your passion for fine dining with your desire to change the world for the better!!!
