WSU Presidential Lecture Series: Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson

For any science geeks...

Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson is Director of the Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of National History, and a lecturer at Princeton University. He's written 6 books on astronomy and astrophysics, and is also apparently known for going on The Today Show, according to a friend of mine. So apparently he's a bit of a nerd celebrity.

I would imagine he'll be talking about astronomy/astrophysics, but WSU's website doesn't actually give many details.

lol yes as a speech teacher I have to say that would have made for a technically better speech but I guess being an astrophysicist good looking and probably 1 of the smartest man on earth I'll give him a bye this time and I won't give him a failing grade THIS time. :-)

Good! I enjoyed it...though I thought he should have stuck to "10 things"... ;)

Still stuck in Columbus for a while longer. Won't be able to make it tonight. I'm bummed.

Hey, everyone! I'm heading over around 6:30 or so, and I'll try to save some seats. I have a couple of Wright State friends who are also going to be there. I will send you all my cell number in a separate email so that you can contact me if we don't find one another.

I'm going to try and get there for this. I am very interested in listening to him.
