Avenue Q @ The Loft Theater

If you haven't heard of Avenue Q, it's a Best Musical Tony Award winner co-produced by Robert Lopez, of The Book of Mormon (The Musical) fame.

Avenue Q is a parody of Sesame Street, only the puppets are sarcastic and profane. (Taken from the Wikipedia write-up): 'Its characters lament that as children, they were assured by their parents, and by children's television programs such as PBS's Sesame Street, that they "were special" and "could do anything"; but as adults, they have discovered to their surprise and dismay that in the real world their options are limited, and they are no more "special" than anyone else.'

Location: The Loft Theatre

Cost: $36.00 ($18.00 for military or students with IDs) - NOTE:  Additional $4 fee if you buy online.

How to buy tickets: ("Avenue Q") or call 228-3630.

Wish I could join you, but have a work commitment. Will definitely go see this while it is in town though. Sounds great!

Michelle and I are planning to go. We're just going to wait a little bit longer before we buy tickets. I'll keep you posted.

Have you gotten your tickets yet? I'm on their website now and there are only 14 tickets left for this performance.

If you're planning on using a military or student discount, purchase your tickets over the phone and they'll have you pick them up from will call. There are about 50 seats available. There aren't any seats directly next to the two I bought, but if you buy seats on the left side of the theater, we'll be close together.
