Lewisburg Haunted Cave

The Lewisburg Haunted Cave is amazing! It is recognized as the world's longest haunted house by the Guiness Book of World Records and is in its 35th year. The cave is a definite MUST if you like haunted houses. It's located in an abandoned limestone mine in Lewisburg, OH, and they have all kinds of cool things down there. It takes 45 min.-1 hr. to get through and has an hour (plus) waiting time, depending on how busy it is. So dress warmly.

The cave is slightly damp and can be muddy, so wear appropriate footwear (i.e., no suede pumps or sandals). It also has a couple of tight squeezes, so if you're claustrophobic, I don't recommend it. Here is their website.

Cost: $16 (although you can get a one dollar discount here.)

NOTE: They have a cash concession stand, if you want to munch on some kettle corn or hot dogs or something while you're waiting in line.

We'll be the ones with the blue light flashlight!!

Pfft!! We are so disfunctional that I think we were ALL fifth wheels! I'm just glad you were able to go through. I liked the cave better this year than any time before. And I liked that little diner, even though they tried to poison Kate.

We're a day away, so here's some last minute coordination. According to Google it's 47 minutes from my house to the cave. Billie, if you want to carpool, be at our house by 7:10. We'll pick Kate up at 7:30 (how does the Texas Roadhouse by WSU sound?) and get to the cave a few minutes before 8:30. ML, if you are interested in caravaning, we can meet at the Texas Roadhouse. Otherwise, I'll send you my cell phone number (by email) and you can call us when you get there. IMPORTANT: Dress warmly and bring outdoorsy shoes. YEY!

If I weren't going to be hiking in Hocking Hills, I'd so be there. But, are any of you interested in hitting the mega haunted house park with multiple haunted houses? One of my other groups is getting a group to go so we can get the discounted group rate. You can join that group or let me know to add you as a +1 to my RSVP. Here's a link to read all about it: http://www.meetup.com/HikingEtc/events/139919132/
